Tops Knives TPBRAK02R: Brakimo Tungsten Coated Fixed

Joe Flowers designed the Brakimo (pronounced BRAH-key-moe) to serve as a main camp knife or a backup to a machete. As the founder of the survival school Bushcraft Global, Joe takes people of all skill levels into the Amazonian jungle to teach not only jungle-specific skills, but also a mindset that can be applied anywhere. The Brakimo was created to be the flagship knife of the company, with a wide blade profile and TOPS’ modified Scandi grind for excellent cutting and splitting power. The tip is narrow to allow for drilling holes for various purposes like bow-drill fires and traps. The simple design makes it versatile for different uses.

Made from 1095 high carbon steel, the Brakimo is easy to maintain the edge, even in the field. Testing during the 2015 Bushcraft Global trip showed that by keeping it dry, rust was not an issue. The name Brakimo is derived from the Matis language, spoken by the Matis tribe in Brazil. The Matis tribe lived in isolation until the late 1970s, presenting a unique way of life that challenges survival experts. Participants of Bushcraft Global may have the opportunity to meet the Matis tribe members and learn their survival skills firsthand.

The Brakimo features a 10.00" overall length, a 5.25" 1095 RC 56-58 Tungsten Cerakote blade, and a green Canvas Micarta handle. It also includes a rotating Spring Steel and comes with a Black Kydex sheath.
